Hospitality Ministry

A simple way to serve and a wonderful way to meet your fellow parishioners! On Sunday after the 8:30am mass  and the 10:30am Mass, volunteer’s setup, serves and cleanup for donuts and juice/coffee on a rotating schedule.

A great way for the entire family to serve!

This ministry is part of the Stewardship Committee who also has responsibility for parish hospitality efforts.  Volunteers are always needed for hospitality programs, including after-Mass hospitality, and the New Parishioners Welcome program.

Prayer Chain Ministry

This ministry is 3 fold.  When the leader of the Prayer Chain receives notification from a person to add someone to the prayer chain, she then notifies her “Callers” of the name. The “Callers” then phone all the “Prayer People” on their list to add that person to their list of people on the prayer chain that they pray for daily.

We all need prayers, but the people on this list are in great need of prayers at this time.  The Long Term Prayer List is published in the bulletin during the year to be prayed for by all.  But, if you would like to be one of the Prayer People that belong to the Prayer Chain Ministry as either a “Caller” or a Prayer Person or both please don’t hesitate to notify us.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The parish nurse movement is an interdenominational movement aimed at promoting health and wellness.  One of the aspects in this parish is providing prayer shawls for anyone who is experiencing mental, physical, spiritual or emotional crisis.

The group meets on the last Thursday of each month at 11:00am.  If you don’t know how to knit or crochet and want to learn there are wonderful people to instruct you.

Natural Family Planning

Creighton Model Fertility Care System (CrMS) instruction is available with a certified Fertility Care Practitioner (FCP).  Free Introductory Sessions for a group or individuals may be arranged, and if interested, individualized follow-up appointments can be scheduled.

The CrMS relies upon standardized observation and charting of biological markers that are essential to understanding a woman’s health and fertility. The CrMS is not only a system of NFP, but also assists with menstrual and fertility abnormalities from puberty through menopause.

With NaPro (Natural Procreative) Technology support, cycle abnormalities are identified and treated cooperatively with the woman’s cycle. Infertility, menstrual cramps, PMS, ovarian cysts, irregular or abnormal bleeding, polycystic ovarian disease, repetitive miscarriage, postpartum depression, prematurity prevention, hormonal abnormalities, chronic discharges and other health  problems are addressed, enabling women to be a collaborators with their physicians in their health care maintenance.
